Privacy Policy

Effective August 30, 2026

Cadence ("Cadence", "we", "us") is a time and leave tracking service for teams, made by Pxlenz. It is available as an iOS app and at www.cadencetimeandleavetracker.com. This policy explains what information Cadence handles, what stays on your device, and the choices you have. The short version: we store the work data your team needs to function, your personal calendar never leaves your device, and we don't sell or advertise with anything.

Information we store

What stays on your device

Your personal calendar is never uploaded. If you connect your Apple (iCloud) calendar, its events are read and displayed on your device only. They are never sent to our servers, never visible to your teammates, managers, or workspace admins — not even as busy/free blocks — and event reminders are scheduled locally on your device.

Google user data

If you choose to connect Google Calendar, Cadence requests access to your calendar events (the calendar.events scope) solely to display your events inside the app and to create events you explicitly add. Google Calendar data is processed on your device: it is fetched directly from Google to the app, is not stored on Cadence servers, is not shared with anyone, and is not used for advertising. Disconnecting the Google calendar in the app, or revoking access at myaccount.google.com/permissions, stops all access immediately.

Cadence's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

The same on-device approach applies to Microsoft (Outlook) calendars when connected: events are fetched from Microsoft Graph to your device and are not stored on our servers.

Who can see your workspace data

Access follows your role. Teammates see shared team information such as who is out; managers and team leads see the requests they approve; workspace admins manage policies, members, and reports. These boundaries are enforced by server-side security rules, not just by the app's interface.

Services we rely on

Cadence runs on Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Messaging, and Hosting), with data stored in the United States. Sign-in is provided by Apple, Google, and Microsoft, subject to their own privacy policies. We do not use advertising networks or third-party analytics trackers on this site or in the app.

Your choices and rights

Children

Cadence is a workplace tool and is not directed at children under 16.

If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
